I LOVE to teach.
I offer a range of bookbinding workshops appropriate for either students or teachers. I have worked in both traditional and non-traditional educational settings, art centers, and community festivals. Workshops are easily adapted to make them accessible to a variety of populations.
My goal is to provide students with as much information and guidance as possible, while at the same time offering them the freedom to explore and experiment. In my classes, I want students to feel both empowered and inspired by the work.
All of my bookbinding workshops provide the participants with a basic knowledge of bookbinding technique. You will receive a detailed handout and resource list for all materials used. Unless noted, workshops are open to students with all levels of experience.
Workshops that are currently scheduled are listed on my Events page.
I am available on both weekdays and weekends. Rates vary depending on preparation needs and project complexity. Materials fees are not included in rates.

I am a member of the Vermont Arts Council’s Teaching Artist Roster, which allows schools to fund residencies through the VAC’s Artists in Schools Program. Residencies can be up to ten days in length and should focus on integrating art into the curriculum and school community.
I am also a graduate of Arts Connect, a professional development program for teaching artists. The graduate course was part of a collaboration between the Vermont Arts Council, VSA Vermont, the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts, and Burlington City Arts. The educational partners were the Integrated Arts Academy and Saint Michael’s College. The course focused on arts integration and Universal Design for Learning.
