This book has both a traditional and organic feel. The cover paper of this photo album was hand silk-screened in Japan and is known as Yuzen or Chiyogami. In both China and Japan, the bamboo plant represents resilience, longevity, strength, and grace. In the Andaman Islands, they believe that humanity emerged from a bamboo stem. The spine is covered in a green bookcloth from Germany and is bound with a ¼” iridescent satin ribbon.
The pages are made of a 100% recycled paper containing 30% post consumer content. The paper is smooth with small visible flecks which add to its earthy, yet contemporary feel. Paper filler strips have been inserted between the pages to accommodate the thickness of your added photos – this prevents the album from puffing open when filled.
All of my books are made using only the finest acid-free and archival materials. This photo album is made in the traditional style that you may recall from an earlier time – like the one your grandparents had – refined, yet functional. Your cherished memories deserve a book that’s just as meaningful.
With your purchase, you will receive a pack of self-adhesive photo corners in your choice of black, gold, silver, kraft, cream, or white.
