Open Studio Weekend recap

Another Vermont Open Studio Weekend has come and gone!

I had a fairly consistent crowd on both days, which was awesome. So many wonderful people came by to visit.

And there were kids! I don’t often have little ones in my studio. One of the highlights for me was watching a baby play with my book press. What a cutie!

The night before the event, I looked in the studio and wondered how I’d be ready in time. The image below doesn’t look that bad, but trust me – it was way worse earlier that day.

Seriously – I am the Queen of Piles.

The next morning rolls around and somehow it all comes together. I swear, it wasn’t me that got it done. Well, maybe it was me, but it was Zombie Me. Or Heavily-Assisted-by-Caffeine Me.

I could actually see the grid lines on my cutting mat!

Here’s a quick tour of the studio (and adjoining hallway – I basically take over the entire downstairs):

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came out in the super-evil hotness to my non-air conditioned studio. I’m so thankful that people were interested in my work – and that they were willing to listen to me blabber on about it!

If you couldn’t make it to my studio this past weekend, never fear! You can make an appointment for a studio visit any time – just contact me and we can set something up.

So what do you think? I'd love to know!
