Worktable Wednesday

Today I started working on this week’s Improv book. I know that the theme will center around the ginkgo tree, but I’m not sure what the text will be yet. I created a Pinterest board to document my inspirations thus far.

My first idea was to try some cut paper work, but I printed out my image too small and the detail was too fine – the paper tore while I worked.

I’m not abandoning the idea completely though – I might try working a bit larger to see if I can get the detail. I then moved on to carving a rubber stamp of a ginkgo leaf.

I’m thrilled with how the stamp turned out, but I’m not sure how I’ll use it yet. I guess it’s all part of the fun of the Improv. I just plug away at any ideas that pop into my head and then eventually, something gels.

You’ll just have to wait until Saturday to see the completed Jello!
