Worktable Wednesday…waiting

Sometimes I feel like I just can never get on top of things. There are people out there patiently waiting for books from me. Case in point – my Book Arts Improv books from 2012.

I still haven’t finished the editions for three of my books and I have yet to send the Improv winners their prizes. And I feel terrible about it. If it makes any of you patient people feel better about it, you’re not the only one waiting. As you can see, Wiggum is waiting for me to take him for a walk.

Okay, so it isn’t really the same thing.

So today I focused on attending to the backlog. I spent a huge chunk of time cutting little bras out of black leather. There were 9 of them. I created a template and traced around it with my scalpel. My fingers were hurting after those were done.

I also worked on covers for a different edition. Thankfully, I was able to get all of those done.

Next, I sewed the signatures together with the bras literally acting as supports for the binding.

After that, the bras and additional leather straps were glued to the covers and voila! The books were done.

Only two more editions to go!

So what do you think? I'd love to know!
