Next Wednesday, I’ll be at Axel’s Frame Shop and Gallery as part of Revitalizing Waterbury‘s Art in the Alley. As the month’s theme is Up-cycle, Re-Purpose, Re-Use, Innovate!, I’ve been breaking into my tub of recycled papers for my most recent work.
As you can imagine, there’s little that I throw away. Most everything has some potential.
I’m hoping to get some spiral-bound books done in time for next week. I have one for myself that I super-duper love. It’s covered in this wacky packaging for a Japanese sour lemon candy I find on occasion. When I was digging through my tub, I found another wrapper that I had saved, so if you’re into lemon candy, this book could be yours if you swing by Waterbury next week – we’ll be book twins!
Now that I just did a search on the Super Lemon candy, I found out that there’s also a Sour Dried Plum candy. Its packaging is equally hilarious. If you’ve ever tried it, I’d love to hear a review.
