Worktable Wednesday

Last week I picked up an awesome decommissioned library book from the 60’s on architectural drawing:

Book - Architectural Drawing and Light Construction

It has lots of fabulous imagery that I’ll be using for the covers of accordion books. The beginning of the book focuses on lettering styles – I’m a sucker for the way architects write:

Then it goes into basic technical drawing and freehand sketching:

As the book is more than 40 years old, I can’t guarantee that the page paper is acid-free. I have a deacidification spray that I’ll use to neutralize the paper.

I’m looking forward to playing around with these!

What a finding! It surely deserves to be taken care of! Challenging work too!
