Vermont is open for business!

I’m sure you’ve heard by now that Vermont was hit hard by Tropical Storm Irene. The damage is devastating and it will take time for both people and businesses to recover.

The good news is that the people of Vermont have stepped up to volunteer their help with the cleanup. I’m so proud to live here.

Vermont Tourism Commissioner Megan Smith wants you to know that much of Vermont is still open for business:

So come to Vermont – we welcome you with open arms and our businesses need you now more than ever.

And let’s hear it for Google!

The kind folks at Google worked with VTrans to create a Google Map to track road and bridge closures in Vermont. I encourage you to use this map when planning your travels – it has the most up-to-date information and will save you time.

Diane –

LOVE Bread & Puppet! The hubby & I have been to several of their shows. The puppet museum is insane – well worth the visit.

So what do you think? I'd love to know!
