Yeah, it snowed today. Even though I was planning a full day in the studio, I was resentful of the snow for trapping me in the house. The beautiful, beautiful snow.

Did I mention that I like snow?

It was really nice to get back to my “usual” work after four weeks of the Book Arts Improv.

First on the agenda – sort out the measurements for a star book that I’m teaching at the Springfield High School Arts Academy next week. I taught bookbinding to seven classes last year – this year I’m teaching eight.

Note the tutorial in the upper left-hand corner – today was the first time I made a star book. Nothing like working under pressure.

Next I started work on a custom order for an artist. She’ll be using her book as a portfolio for her paintings.

Tomorrow I’ll cut and fold the pages for the custom book. It should be ready for binding on Friday morning.

So what do you think? I'd love to know!
