Book Arts Improv: Call #2

Book Arts Improv logo

Welcome to week 2 of the Book Arts Improv!

Now that I have one week under my belt, I’m feeling very eager for this week’s challenge.

Here are the new suggestions:

  1. A texture
  2. A verb that relates to an action movie
  3. A job/profession that you’d never want to have

To participate in the Improv, just comment on this post with a response for each of the three categories listed above. I’d like to keep this suitable for all audiences, so please, nothing offensive.

I will accept suggestions until 5:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, January 11, 2011. On that day, one entry will be selected at random and not only will that person’s suggestions be used for that week’s book, but the winner will also receive a copy of the book.

Good luck!

Texture: Cabled (ie like knitting)
Verb related to an action movie: Raidering (Raiders of the Lost Ark)
Job/Profession you’d not like to have: Lavatory Attendant

1. Texture: Swiss Cheese (for the reason above)
2. Action Verb: Ka-Pow (for my childhood favorite action TV show – Batman)
3. Job: A Public Servant (even though I did consider this profession once in my life, after this week – NO WAY! It seems that now you are either a puppet for big business, an asshole, or an exceptional representative of your constituency who winds up being a true martyr for your beliefs. I wouldn’t want to be either.

sorry for make this post such a downer…I’m listening to the news while posting this.
