Worktable Wednesday

Now that I’ve finished my last craft show of the season, I’ve entered appointment week – this is when I schedule any needed appointment that can wait. Lots of running around today.

I did squeeze in some time this evening to work on a custom book that was ordered when I was at Artrider CraftMorristown this past weekend (I’ll write about the show later this week). I was asked to turn my Hottie Photo Album into a journal.

Gluing the covers:

Paper and bookcloth ready for making book covers

10:01 p.m.

Gluing covers for handmade book

10:28 p.m.

I love love love the paper on this book – it’s a reversible Unryu. The side of the paper that I use is red, while the other side is purple. The texture is so wonderful.

Gluing covers for handmade book

10:46 p.m.

Gluing end pages into handmade book covers

10:55 p.m.

Handamade book covers pressing under weight

11:01 p.m.

After pressing the covers and letting them dry, I’ll bind the pages and covers together.

So what do you think? I'd love to know!
